HHS Secretary Kathleen G. Sebelius plans to postpone the compliance date for certain healthcare entities with ICD-10. The final rule, adopted in 2009, set a compliance date of October 1, 2013. HHS is committed to reexamining the pace of implementation and addressing administrative burdens.
